9020 vPro/AMT enabling asks for service tag ?

Question

Hello, our office just bought a batch of brand new optiplex 9020 with the vPro feature, so while configuring them for the first time we land on this prompt (attached picture).

Choices seem fair-enough explanatory, however it asks for a service tag... what is it ? Something to look for on a sticker ? Or something our IT department just need to assign and store ? Is there any standard to follow in order for the prompt to not complain?

Service tag is on top of pc

Service Tag and Serial Number are one and the same thing. Its shown in bios as well as shown on stickers on top and a barcode on the back.

We intend to use these units on our local network, isolated from the internet.

1) By any chance, do you know whether they need to be exposed to some dell/intel server in order for the activation to happen ?

2) What would happen if me or colleagues of mine make a typo when inputing the service tag to the prompt ? Would it brick the motherboard ?

Whatever choice you make its permanent. So if you choose disabled its done forever.
