Can I overclock the i5 6500 in my dell optiplex 3040 ? Reading from main board : 0ttdmj

Most Dell's, other than the ones that are sold as gaming PC's, are not Overclockable.
The OptiPlex line was designed for business use and Overclocking is not something a business user would need.

Hello ! you can turn on Intel Turbo boost in the bios for me I go from 2.6 GHz with my i5 6400 to 3.2 Ghz
If the option not showing up, update the bios

There are usually some options in there. Be sure all Cores are enabled, etc (common sense stuff).
If Turbo-Boost is not , that means it is always ON.
You have to queue-up a lot of work. Maybe start encoding a video or try running Prime95 ... and then watch it Turbo-Boost.
