Dell 7010 MT CPU Cooler Upgrade
I just picked up a Core i7 3 series Optiplex 7010 MT and want to upgrade the CPU cooler. Firstly, is that possible? Secondly, if so, what would be the recommended replacement? I know Dell does some proprietary stuff.

Many Dell Fans use swapped pins wiring and proprietary connectors.
The mounting plate may also be proprietary or not.

If you want to change the CPU ventilation, the first thing you have to do is change the CPU CPU Block Protection, buy it by aliexpress or similar pages, search with the keywords "SOCKET LGA115X CPU Block Protection".
Once the CPU support arrives, you only replace the one that comes from default and you can install a CPU fan.
I installed the 212 EVO, the only bad thing is that it is too high for case and can not be closed.
