Dell Optiplex 3010 MT PSU upgrade.
Hi. I am a new member. I have a Dell Optiplex 3010 MT (i3 - 3220). Planning on upgrading it. I will buy an i5 - 3450 or i5 - 3470 (if supported) and an MSI RTX 570. For that I need a new PSU. Will my PC be able to support any PSU? if not, Can anyone suggest a PSU?

i5-3470 and i5-3450 have same cpuid (306A9), so both are supported in optiplex 3010. yes your MT pc supports standard ATX psu w 24 pin. For RX570 recommended system power supply is 450W.

Go with the I5-3470.
From PC-Builds: Intel Core i5-3450 (Clock speed at 100%) with AMD Radeon RX 570 (Clock speed at 130%) x1 will produce 11.42% of bottleneck. Everything over 10% is considered as bottleneck.
Intel Core i5-3470 (Clock speed at 100%) with AMD Radeon RX 570 (Clock speed at 100%) x1 will produce only 1.49% of bottleneck.

bare minimum is evga 700BR
B2 BQ W1 N1 versions from the same vendor do not work.

EPS 12v 80 percent efficient unit with at least 150W 25A on 3.3v/5v rails is the spec.

If you want to get a 450W psu for RX570, I suggest either EVGA or Dell. Dell oem psu will be cheaper and there is a good supply of used XPS 8000 series 460W out there. If you want brand new psu with warranty, you can buy the Dell XPS8930 psu which is also 460W (if you can find one through Dell spare part), or EVGA which can be modular (e.g., supernova 450GM) or nonmodular (e.g. 450BR). I personally would go for Dell used psu.
