That only shows the amount of memory supported it don't say anything about what brand it supports  but it does shows the 9010 supports up to 32GB and the 7010 only supports up to 16GB  seems like the 9010 would be a better option I just wish I knew before hand if the memory I have now will work I don't want to keep buying memory only to find out it's not supported that's what happened with the 780 I have now I tried 3 or 4 different brands and none worked. I had to buy the same that was installed to be sure it would work I don't have this kind of money to waste. I do know people told me many times over the years that Dell and HP are the worst when it comes to memory upgrades and are a huge pain to find supported memory.

Contact Corsair through their website and ask if that RAM you have will work in an Optiplex 9010.  https://help.corsair.com/hc/en-us/requests/new  Give them the model # of your RAM just like you did here.  If it's not a fit, may be sell it on eBay.

Please know that you can also make pghs. while writing into this forum making your posts easier to read.

Dell's aren't a pain to find memory for.  Not sure if this is how it went, but RAM can't be bought at random and hope it works.  RAM is very specific as to what PC's it'll work in.

Crucial RAM is guaranteed to work in Dell's and comes with a lifetime warranty.  Their website can help you pick out the exact RAM your future 9010 takes.  Kingston Value Ram (has KVR in the model #) rarely works in Dell's.

I saved some $ by using A-Tech RAM in my 755, which also has a lifetime warranty.

You didn't say what I7 you wanted to upgrade to.  I7-3770?  I7-4770?...

The 7020 and 9020 come with 290w PSU's.  7010 and 9010 come with 275w PSU's.

Buying a 9010 or 9020 with all the parts you want included might be a money saver.  Please see screengrab.  It'll show once approved by a moderator.

Also I plan to upgrade the power supply to a 450 watt and add a video card(GeForce GT 1030 2GB) I already have a Bly-Ray burner I plan to put in it also. I am looking at a 5.25" card reader with USB 3.0 to put in it since I need to have a card reader and the one in my 780 is a 3.5" USB 2.0 and it won't work on the 9010.

This will be my main computer once it's done so I want it to be upgraded to the best I can afford and I plan to keep the 780 as a spare

I'm looking at the I7-3770 I can get this one for about $100 to $150 renewed and the memory I have is for the Intel  i series and shows it's forth gen ready it's 1600MHz memory.

I was reading other pages on here about memory upgrades with Dells that have the Intel i series cpu's and what I'm seeing is the memory controller is on the cpu it self meaning it's not Dell you have to go by when it comes to what's supported  if it's supported by the cpu it should work. Not sure if these people are right but they said the newer Dell's don't have the same problem with memory upgrades as the older ones did.

Heck I seen many videos on Youtube were people mix the memory they have installed.

For $154.99, you can buy that PC I screengrabbed for you.  Photos and images take longer to show up on the weekends.  I couldn't just link it from the app.

I'm in Canada so by the time the price is converted to Canadian I pay the huge import fees the USA loves to charge people then the shipping it's a lot cheaper to buy more local. Also the time it takes to ship from the USA to Canada can be forever while if I get the one I'm thinking I'll have it in about a week. I try to not buy from the USA thanks to their huge import fees that there's no need of them charging. No other country charges fees like that I have ordered from over sees many times over the years and not once was I ever charged any import fees, it's crazy.

Up to you what you want to do with PSU's, but a GT 1030 GDDR5 will run fine on stock PSU it being only 30w.
