Dell Optiplex GX 620 error lights one and three are blinking. Please help me

I was given a dell Optiplex GX 620. When I plug it i, I get beeping and error light numbers one and three go on. What do these message lights mean and can an amateur like myself  fix this issue. If sending me help, explain it in very basic language, I am certainly not an engineer

What is the beep code? Its important in troubleshooting.

Lights 1 and 3 indicate some type of memory problem.  Bad memory, wrong memory, etc..  Reseating the memory is one suggestion, assuming the memory is OK.  Reseat - with the PC powered off, open the case and remove each memory module (if more than one) one at a time then reinstall making sure it correctly and fully installed.  Be careful handling memory as it is static sensitive, only handle it by the edges.

FYI, Dell only has drivers for XP.  If you want to use this (after getting it working) with Win 7 or Win 10 you are basically on your own.  It may or may not run newer operating systems.

If you're still having trouble or if you haven't already, check any wired connections to make sure they're still tight.
