Driver cabs not getting updated for Optiplex 7070?

Command Update and the support website for drivers and downloads both indicate several newer drivers and a BIOS update since June 2019.  However, downloads.dell.com and the Command Deploy websites only have files from June.  This is not helpful.  Driver cabs were supposed to be updated in August, per Dell's Enterprise driver documentation.  It's now the middle of September!  How can we get this resolved?

My whole point.  Old drivers.  According to Dell's release schedule, they should have been updated in August.  https://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/04/how13889/driver-pack-release-schedule?lang=en

You seem to be ignoring the site.

This is not we absolutely guarantee new drivers every Tuesday schedule.

Below is the tentative (not certain) schedule for Dell Driver Packs to be released. synonyms: provisional · unconfirmed · indefinite ·

The new release date for monthly updates is the second Tuesday.

Note: Driver Packs will only be updated if new drivers are available.
Cabs are maintained for Current and 2 previous generations of systems.

I'm not ignoring anything.  There are new drivers available for the OptiPlex 7070, since July, including a BIOS update, and several drivers updated in August.  I understand that Dell is not committed to any particular date for release, but if there are new drivers within the published window then we should be concerned when no driver pack is released with them after months go by.

It also looks like Dell has begun to abandon the downloads.dell.com driver website as new drivers for several of the latest gen PCs are also not getting published there (Latitude 7400, 7200, OptiPlex 7070, etc.)?

This is all especially onerous because these new PCs are getting delivered and we can't deploy them with the most current drivers without a bunch of extra steps.  Dell used to be more on top of these things so I'm wondering what has changed.

OK, that's fair when it comes to the BIOS updates, although I was making the point that there are updates that are not getting into the normal enterprise download streams within a reasonable timeframe.  Most driver updates are to fix bugs and performance issues, or to support hardware changes that occur between manufacturing runs, not security vulnerabilities.  Only updating when security is the issue would not make for happy users as their PC components can be causing various problems.  When contacting Dell support they always want the latest drivers installed anyway, so it's better in the long run to stay as current as possible at the point of first deployment to the user and avoid problems or delays.

Thanks.

BIOS updates have never been part of  Driver Packs.

Unless this is a critical security update there isn't a reason to update.

Actually, it's very relevant now for those working for pipelines since the Colonial Pipeline hack.  The Transportation Safety Administration will soon be requiring us to not only update drivers within 7 days of publishing but also BIOS updates.  I know it sounds absolutely ludicrous (probably because it is), but we're hoping that vendors will feel some heat from TSA to help us out with this crazy requirement.

I don't have this Command Update running on my 7070, but Windows 10 PRO seems to update drivers and even the BIOS in Windows Update under "optional updates".

Would this be a viable solution for You?
