My optiplex 7010 keeps booting into power saving mode after adding a gt 1030
I just got a new gt 1030 and added it to my optiplex 7010 but every time I try to boot up the computer with the gpu it enters power saving mode. If I try to boot it up without the gpu it’s fine. I have a optiplex 7010 sff. I made sure to install the graphics card correctly and it still didn’t work. Please help.

re: it enters power saving mode
do you mean the monitor could not detect video signal from the gt 1030 card and the monitor enters power saving mode? if yes, make sure video cable is tested working and connected securely to both the gt1030 card itself (not the integrated video port of computer) and the monitor. I would also use another video source such as a laptop to verify that both video cable and monitor work.
have you tried all available video ports on the card? if there is both HDMI and DP, try the HDMI port. DP port sometimes gives trouble at POST.

If I try to boot it up without the GPU plugged in, I am able to do so. In my case, I have an Optiplex 7010 SFF. In spite of all my efforts, the graphics card did not work even after I made sure to install it correctly. I would like some assistance. After purchasing a GT 1030 graphics card, I added it to my Optiplex 7010, but every time I start up the computer with the GT 1030 GPU, the computer goes into power saving mode.

Sometimes, GPU problems can be related to Secure Boot in BIOS. If it's on, turn it off, or viceversa.
I also take it you read the above post that was marked as a solution?
If still no luck, replace size 2032 CMOS battery if it's 5+ yrs. old. A bad battery also causes various boot problems.
