Opti 3090 Micro Long White Short White LED Diagnostic
Hello Community. I have a 3090 Micro that won't POST. The LED Diagniostic is flashing long white then short white - the CPU fan briefly starts with each LED light pulse. There's no amber light phase just long white then short white then repeat. I've swapped CMOS battery. Tried a RTC reset (hold poer button for 30 secs). I've swapped the RAM, and the CPU (i3-10105T) POSTs in another motherboard. The long white, short white LED blink seems to be telling me something but I don't know what.
Typically the warranty on this unit expired in March.
Am I missing something obvious?
thanks in advance.

OptiPlex 3090 Micro Service Manual Diagnostic LED behavior
There's a couple of places I looked at diagnostic led patterns, including the ones in the above link. I could not find a match.
Good troubleshooting by the way. It looks like you have it narrowed down to a motherboard problem. Typically, if there's a problem with the MB, replacement is the only solution.
Don't know if you tried it already, but you might want to try the "Get help now" button on the lower-right. Computer shop is another idea.

Did just get another idea. Disconnect the SSD/HDD. Turn on. Behavior still the same or does it give you a "No boot device found" error like it should?

Hi, thank you for the reply – I’m too suspecting the motherboard is toast but was hoping the small signs of life (flashing white LED pattern) would lead to a fix without having to replace it. Maybe I’ve stumbled on a diagnostic LED code even Dell are unaware of!
Yeah, I’d already tried removing SSD and even the WiFi M.2 on the off chance they were preventing POST – no difference.
The only Dell support option appears to be to pay for a Hardware Diagnostic (£44) and get a quote for repair - I can’t find the motherboard listed in the Parts and Upgrade options for this chassis – presumably they don’t want end users doing the work themselves or an idea of the cost!?
