Optipex 9020, Win10, audio channels reversed

I just ran into a problem that I may have had for a long time, but only now noticed.  So I don't know if it is a Dell driver or MS OS problem.

My audio channels are reversed.

I only noticed this when I had a video that definitely used the LR channel separately.  Then I went into the settings to test the sound, and windows L channel comes out the R speaker, and R channel comes out of the L speaker.  Same with the headphone jack on the front of the computer. Both front headphone jack, and rear line out jacks reflect the same audio channel reversal.

I am running Win10 on my 9020, with the latest Win10 updates, except the 20H2 update.

I reinstalled the Dell Realtek driver, with no result.

Is there a software fix to this, or do I have to do surgery to the headphone jack, and reverse wire the line out?

Thanks

GaryAC12,

Did this issue happen after the Windows update? You can uninstall the Windows update to see if that will correct the issue.  Also, you may not want to do surgery on the system.
