Optiplex 390 CPU upgrade and other components
Hello
I have a Dell Optiplex 390 with this configuration:
Intel® Pentium® Processor G630, 3M Cache, 2.70 GHz MODULE, THERMAL, HEATSINK, 65W, DESKTOP, 390/3010
I would like to change the processor for a stronger one (max i5 2400 I think). Will I have to replace also the power supply, heat sink, and some other component?

The 390 is a horrible retread of the Inspiron 620. It does not have AHCI in the bios.
A Newer 790 or 990 would be the better way to go and cost almost the same as just the CPU.

So this is less than the cost of windows.
