Same thing happened on my lousy 3020 Mini-Tower. So to fix fast I bought a NIC card and installed it in one of my PCIe slots. Cost maybe USD $17. But works. Loking forward to junking that 3020, the worst PC I have ever owned.

if your 7010 has a white PCI slot, it is probably MT/DT.  in that case you have a PCIex1 slot and Dell has a gigabit NIC card for that slot (7010 tech guide)

BROADCOM NETXTREME 10/100/1000
PCIE GIGABIT1 NETWORKING CARD
Connector Type RJ45
Data Rates supported 10/100/1000 Mbps Half/Full duplex
Controller Details
Controller bus architecture (example PCIe 1.0a x1) PCIe c1.0a x1

you can also install PCI 10/100/1000 32 Bit Gigabit Ethernet Network Adapter Card

It should work if it comes with driver CD.  amazon has free return for it too.
