Optiplex 7060, Onikuma K8 headset not detected

I have spent the last two hours trying to set up my brand new Onikuma K8 headset with my brand new OptiPlex 7060 desktop. My drivers are all already up to date. I have the headset plugged into the front of my computer both via USB and headset jack, and my speakers are disconnected from the back of the computer. I am at my wit's end, it should not be this difficult to set up a simple headset. What am I doing wrong?

For USB - I had to install the drivers my Bluetooth Dongle came with to link my Riwbox headphones.  Very small CD inside package.

By wire - Check settings in Control Panel > Sound.  (I keep a shortcut on my desktop.)  Check on all the settings you can just in case.  It might be as simple clicking on an image like speakers or headphones.

I've mistakenly plugged headphones into the mic jack since it's 1st on my front panel and headphones 2nd.

I don't know if a headset will work with both plugged in by wire and Bluetooth.

Hopefully this helps.
