Optiplex 7060 SFF. Upgrade HDD to SSD suggestions
Hi there
I am planning on replacing the traditional hard drive (1TB) with a M.2 SSD of the same size. I was wondering if there are any suggestions on SSD brands or characteristics, or tips during the replacement process. I plan to keep the old HDD as an external backup.
I use this machine at home, with occasional high demands (graphic design and Geographical Information Systems software). For the most part, it is used for e-mail, web surfing, word processing and spreadsheets.

I tend to favor the Samsung 970 EVO drives. They've always treated me well. I use 7060SFF's at work and rarely have issues with the M.2 drives, so you should be fine using that style/brand.
As far as swapping the drives, it's very straightforward replacement. But one tip is to get a small philips screwdriver with a magnetic end. Those screws are tiny and tend to get lodged in bad places.
