Optiplex 7090 Micro Optional connector USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Port)
Dear Friends @Dell,
I am after this please Optiplex 7090 Micro Optional connector USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Port
In fact, I do not intend to use it externally but implement internally an additional NVMe or else as long space permits.
That being said, is there any means to add an Internal Fan since I upgraded the CPU to an Intel i9-11900K and the noise is such that the machine ought to be turned off at night... I tried to search for some additional FANs I could complement the system with but was not sure based on the info on Google..
The advice given will be very much sympathised with,
Many thanks and wish you well,
Trevor

while your micro motherboard supports i9-11900k, the chassis and cooling can not adequately support this cpu. you need to be concerned about VRM cooling too for this -k cpu. in 7090 tower Dell implements additional heatsink for the VRM next to the cpu. without adequate cooling of cpu and VRM, you would throttle the processor.
Dell validated only the low power cpu for the Micro model with a reason. the micro system can only cool 35w or 65w cpu, not a 125w cpu. when user strap a high power cpu in a micro case the system would not work properly.
compare the i9-11900k with the Dell validated i9-10900
the Dell validated cpu for 7090 micro are
