Optiplex 745, graphics card

Question

Hi,i have a optiplex 745 running xp and it now will not boot up past the welcome screen and have been informed there is no graphics. I purchased a dell silicone image/dell dvi half height adapter card. Will this work or will i need something else to fit on the adapter. Many thanks for your time, Keith

The Silicone Image Adapter is NOT a GPU its a passthru for DVI for the onboard INTEL Graphics.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I am not very up on computer components and fitted the card, then bought an adapter to vga but get no signal to my screen. Are you saying i need something else to get the graphics working.? many thanks Keith
