Optiplex 790 CPU upgrade to i7 3770
I have an optilex 790 with i5 2400 and an i7 3770 CPU, is the 3770 compatible with this PC (optiplex 790).
Just to inform my motherboard is E93839 KAO121.
This mobo has socket LGA 1155.

790 is limited to 2nd gen. First CPU you mentioned is 2nd gen, 2nd CPU is 3rd gen.
