Optiplex 9010, flashing amber light on on switch

I have a Dell  Optiplex 9010 the on button just flashes constant amber/orange I read the forum and changed Power Supply. Motherboard. Heatsink and Fan one at a time hoping something would work. I am pulling my hair out as nothing has worked and still constant flashing orange/amber. Please help

Another potential is the CPU.  Assuming all the hardware you changed is "known good" items.

Thank you for the reply, all the hardware has 3 months warranty as all from same supplier so cpu next stop,I have no idea how to test anything so it's costing me. Pity no one could test diagnose oh well

I have changed all of the hardware and still constant flashing amber light. All the hardware brought has 3 months warranty so works. Pulling my hair out here as I cannot  do a test on  anything I just changed each part from reading the forum

I had to "shotgun" troubleshoot a problem on one of my desktops, too.  None of the available diagnostics detected any problems but it kept randomly crashing with blue screen.   As I do PC repair I had spare parts.  Started swapping, one at a time until I found the problem device (CPU).

I had a similar situation, but I ran into an undocumented cause of an amber blink.  RAM.

In my case, if I had mismatched pairs of RAM modules (one pair dual ranked and the other pair single ranked - which according to Dell is okay), I would get a blinking amber LED.

You didn't mention replacing the ram.

Protect mode..  I have such issue and solved after replaced RAM

try clean ram contact and test again
