Optiplex xe2 has 6 pin connectors?

Im looking to get a optiplex xe2 MT For gaming for myself and i wanted to fit in a rtx/gtx card that requires external power. Does the optiplex xe2 MT Have a 6 pin power connector already?

Re: Does the optiplex xe2 MT Have a 6 pin power connector already?

Dell offers a single type of psu for XE2 MT which is 365W and it has a 6 pin PCI-e connector.  The 365w XE2 MT psu has standard form factor but proprietary 8 pin ATX connector.

PS Dell offers another single type of 315W psu for XE2 SFF which also has a 6 pin.  The 315W psu is Dell proprietary thin form factor in order to fit SFF case.

@SpreadTheGamer

It does not if the stock PSU 290W is used.  Its not standard its dell proprietary.  VX372 315W models support up to 150W GPU with single 6 pin pci-e.

Tower has optional 365W psu with a single six pin PCI-E connector also proprietary power supply.

@redxps630 is right.  The XE2 MT just came with 365w PSU.

Mind if I ask what GPU card you plan on using?  Then we can make sure 365w PSU is enough.

I might plan on using a rtx 3050. If not probably a gtx 1660 ti or 1650

RTX 3050 is only 90w, requires 1×6-pin connector, and the GTX 1650 75w, so 365w PSU is good.

GTX 1660 ti is 120w, requires 1×8-pin connector, and recommended PSU is 450w.

Optiplex XE2 Dell stock 365w psu is sufficient to support GTX 1660 ti, based on more accurate basic online psu calculator.  The dell psu 6 pin has all three 12V pinned (psu pic shows three brown 12V wires for the black 6 pin) and is effectively 8 pin.  If 8 pin connector is needed for the gpu just use a straight 6 to 8 pin adapter available from Dell too.

Recommended PSU Wattage:362 W

PS gtx 1660 ti maker recommended "minimum" psu requirement is often overestimated to account for all possible config in DIY pc.  for prebuild pc often do not need that much power.

There might be a reason PSU only has 1×6-pin connector.  I wouldn't want it to be like using an adapter to plug in a 240v plug into a 120v outlet.  So may be a bit of caution there.
