PC goes to sleep at same time every day

2nd post today and no monitor is stated at all, of the 100s of models, and they are NOT THE SAME.

if you tried the monitor on PC 2 does it fail , then its the monitor if not then not. (sure 24hr test sorry)

there are 13 settings not 2, in power options of control panel see , photo below for proof and a pain to extract in silly MS dinky windows , but non are timer oriented. (only inactivity)

Old monitors about year 2001 to 2010 had a TIMER INSIDE the actual OSD of the actual monitor.  none stated.yet.

turn that off FIRST>

• you could boot the PC to linux demo media for a 24hr test
• or read your OSD menu, pressing the menu button on the monitor case bezel. timers OFF !
• or test the monitor on PC2? (means not this PC)
• also check , for, screen saver mode.turned on,
• also did the PC wake up with mouse clicks or keyboard keys hammered, if in hiberate mode can take 15 seconds to come back.???????????????????????????????
• "I can be typing and it will suddenly sleep" , well that be using CCFL monitor(bad monitor)
• is the device manager window  clean, of all errors on all devices.
• What monitor do you own, this should be the first thing you said, but did  not. (monitors Matter)
• some bios (all mine do) have auto turn on features in BIOS, some have both On and off times. but that is only for the PC, not monitor, So Presume the PC fans keep running right>? as you type fans do not go silent right? taskschedular is easy to check but so is moving monitor to 2nd PC the most easy off all.
• are you a business if yes swap monitors from Jane and John,  easy no?
• it can be a bad monitor. CCFL or timer stuck or even bad PSU in the monitor . 

the PC is only 4 years old ,is the unstated monitor that old or those nasty 2010 and older monitors

I have 2010s here, in my attic all are bad CCFL, (white = yellow tint)  most go dead, or worse.

the 10:30 tells me only 2 things,  PC bad, OS, set wrong, or old monitors with timer.

when the screen went blank did you just cycle power on the monitor first, this should reset any 2010 timer inside to 0 , did you?

the old monitors had there own clock inside, hh/mm/yy

and if set correctly the timer then can in fact turn off the monitor at an exact time.

this is  a fact.

here is proof, (this was provided back in 2001 to 2010) because many PC had NO SLEEP MODES.

note how it can do both start and end both.!!!

and 100% gone AFTER THAT DATE.

Open Task Scheduler, on the left pane select Task Scheduler
Library and on the middle pane look for any schedule that shuts down the system.
You can disable the task on the right pane.\

Screen saver of nothing may also seem like sleep but its not.

PCI-E power savings should be off.  All other power savings including selective usb suspend should be 480 hours instead of 20 minutes.

hibernate should be NEVER aka admin command prompt powercfg -h off

Also it could be the Automatic Maintenance a feature of Windows 10. Automatic Maintenance is shown in
Action Center in the Maintenance section, where you can change Change maintenance settings.

Active hours valid range is now up to 18 hours instead of the previous 12 hours between start and end time.
The default active hours is 8 AM (8 on 24 hour clock) for Start time and 5 PM (17 on 24 hour clock) where you can now have Windows 10 automatically select appropriate Active Hours based on how you use your device.

To select this option, head to Settings > Update & Security > Change Active Hours and enable

“Automatically adjust active hours for this device based on activity.”

vast monitors there are, no 2 the same sorry, even in 1 decade, below is 2010 model.

also those old monitors if set to MON TIMER< (2010 is only 9 years old so, IS POSSIBLE)

it tells you ,l going sleep just before IT does.

most of those old monitors have  dual sleep mode, or more

• Timer sleep (inside OSD screens)
• Sync lines go dead, bam sleep.
• and the MON. DCD/Edid chip got signaled to sleep.

the timer is the worst, because the monitor can't tell PC is active.  mon timer, it's blind in that mode.

what monitor do you have,  we wait with baited breath. please.

It is not the monitors, it is the PC going to sleep.

Event log shows following entries:

The system is entering sleep.   Sleep Reason: Application API.

I have looked exhaustively at every setting, service, process, registry key and cannot find what is triggering it but it is the exact same time every day. Have also trawled the web looking for answers and nothing resolves it.  It is baffling.

There are driver issues and bios issues and windows wanting to sleep everything every 20 minutes issues.

"The system firmware has changed the processor's memory type range registers (MTRRs) across a sleep state transition (S4). This can result in crash resume performance."

Admin command prompt   POWERCFG -H off

Set sleep to never

Set turn off monitor and all other go to narcolepsy parameters from 20 min to 480 minutes.

Turn sleep usb OFF

Turn sleep pci-e power OFF.
