Re: No boot device found/ AHCI BIOS not found/alerts

I have a optiplex 980 mini tower. I had to re-enter cmos and now when I start the PC the Intel rapid storage technology appears and shows a list of raid volumes in which there is a volume. I have windows on a ssd. Intel rapid storage technology shows the ssd in a list but it does not appear in the bios in the list of bootable devices not even when I press F1 to continue. If I press f1, only the raid volume appears, which I cannot delete. I set the date to be exact in the bios and in sata operation I tried all the options and the same result. Before I removed the cmos everything was working perfectly. How can I make it work like before? I cannot access the operating system. I would like to solve this problem without losing the data on the ssd.

You had to re-enter cmos, does it mean you replaced the coin cell battery.  If there was not any problem with the drive before, then it could be the SATA operation mode was changed when cmos was reset.

If you can, select start up repair and boot into Safe Mode (option 4).  Proper storage controller driver will be installed.  Select restart to see if Windows can boot as normal again.  If OS drive is corrupted and can't boot anymore, consider to perform clean install on a new drive and using adapter to recover data from the old drive.

If data was important to you, should have it backup.
