optiplex 5070 displayport to VGA adapter

Question

Hello, sorry for my english.

I have a Optiplex micro 5070 with 2 displayport.

i just bought a displayport to vga adapter to connect the monitor, but it doesn't work

The adapter is working with other PC. So i think, it's not compatible. What can i do?

I couldn't find the original Dell adapter. what kind of adapter should i buy?

Problem solved. I bought 2 new adapters, Dell branded and unbranded, and they both work perfectly. Even an adapter is connected to the vga monitor with a 10 meter extension have a nice day

Hi,

I have bought some no name VGA to DP adapter and it works perfectly fine. My monitor VGA cable goes in, and display port end goes into the desktop. It is possible for it to work.

Just ask them if you can bring it back in case it doesn't work. From what I was told, monitor VGA to desktop DP will work, but the other way around will not.

I need a converter/adapter to use my VGA monitor, right?

So i bought an adapter but doesn't work.

Mondate i'll try with other brand adapter.

vga is analog display port is digital Its NOT bi directional No such thing as vga  >>>>>display port out. Only Display port out >>>>>> vga
