Announcing the vSphere Web Client Plugin for Oracle Databases

The Blue Medora – VMware vSphere Web Client Plugin for Oracle Databases provides visibility into individual Oracle Databases running on vSphere including Oracle Database health, performance, and availability KPIs, as well  an overview of the number of ‘Warning’ or ‘Critical’ incidents reported within Oracle Enterprise Manager for each database.

The VMware vSphere Web Client Plugin for Oracle Databases collects Oracle database related KPIs gathered for any Oracle Database monitored/managed by Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c (EM12c) via direct integration with the Oracle EM12c OMR.

Oracle Database related information surfaced by the vSphere Web Client Plugin for Oracle Database within the vSphere Web Client includes:

    • Whether a Oracle database instance is detected within a specific VMware VM
    • Oracle EM12c reported ‘Status’ and 'Availability of a database instance
    • Number of open Oracle EM12c ‘Warning’ and 'Critical' incidents for a database instance
    • Database Version and Database Release info
    • Which Oracle EM12c Oracle Management Repository (OMR) the plugin is using to pull status information from for the database
    • The Oracle EM12 ‘Target Name’ for the database instance
    • Number Of ‘Active Sessions Waiting’ for I/O, CPU, and Memory
    • Data Storage allocation (in GB) of a database instance
    • Memory Usage of a database instance
