Pinout for a poweredge 2650 J1540

Question

I purchased this to use as a 12V power supply. I need to find the pinout in order to turn the power supply on. This is not the ATX type. Knowing what I know now I should have purchased an ATX type as there is tons of info on how to do this.

I found what I was looking for. The first link is to an article that gives the pinout info for the 1U &2U power supplies (the one I have is a 2U) as well as the ATX and WTX power supplies. The second link is to a product brochure that shows,, diagrammatically, the pin arrangement.

Unless someone else has played with this themselves and manually figured out the pin-out, you probably will not find any information like this.

Systems with hot-swap powersupplies typically use a very unique type connector that slides into a PDU inside the server. As the powersupply and PDU are unique to this one model (Poweredge 2650 in this case) from this one vendors (Dell in this case), the manufacturer typically has no need to release pin-out info as you cannot use the powersupply for anything else anyway (or they don't expect you to use it for anything else at least).

I have a similar issue, but in my case I have an 18pin on the DELL MB (not a 20, not a 24) and I can not find anything about this online.

I have a post here on the DELL community site, but they marked it as "spam" because this is a new account and I think I had too many links.

Anyway, few things here:

but there is no pinout solution there...

2- do you know what the Pinout for the 18pin should be?

I have a DELL DSS 1510 (and it has an 18 pin, not a 24 like shown in the manual). Its possible I was sent a Dell XNNCJ PowerEdge T430 by mistake... as that has an 18 pin too.

I am comfortable rewriting the 24pin ATX into a custom 18pin, but I need to know the voltages.

any ideas?
