PowerEdge R210 II - Quad Port PCI-E NIC
I recently purchased an Intel Pro/1000 PT PCI-E 4X Quad Port server adapter for my PowerEdge R210 II server and installed it in the PCI-E riser, but the system doesn't seem to see it! I've checked the BIOS and I cannot find any settings to turn on the device. There are several "undocumented" jumpers on the motherboard, which I cannot find any mention to in the owner's manual.
Does any one know how to enable the PCI-E riser? Thanks.

Hi Chris,
The part number is 39Y6138, and it's an (IBM) Intel Pro/1000 PT Quad Port PCI-E server adapter. I tried the NIC in a "clone" server with a Tyan S2932 Thunder n3600M motherboard and it works!
I also tried reseating the PCI-E riser multiple times, same problem.
Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated.

Belrus65,
There are supported Intel Pro/1000 PT cards compatible with the R210 II. Could you let me know the part number listed on the card, so I can confirm that the specific card is supported. Also, try powering down the server and reseating the riser card, in case the issue is due to just a poor connection.
Let me know what you see.
