R-720 ESXi 5.5 Update 1
have 1 of 4 R720 servers ( all bios 2.2.3 ) that shows memory alert in vmware web client hardware status.
followed steps in Vmware KB 2061093 of clearing logs, moved VM's off of host and rebooted, readded to cluster and as soon as the server comes up we get a memory alert again. not showing any DIMM with an error. No errors in LCD window on server.

Hi,
What is the error that you are getting? Are there any errors on the system LCD? Have you tried running the hardware diagnostics from the lifecycle controller?

no error on lcd,
will try lifecycle controller diags
on vmware under hardware status, sensors I get a red alert next to memory at the top but not next to the DIMMS

ran lifecycle controller diags.
A3 DIMM error reseat
reset DIMM, same error
moved A3 to A7, error moved to A7.
looks like a bad DIMM..
