8TB SAS Drives on R710

Question

Hi,

My company purchased a Dell R710 containing an H700 PERC. Seperately to this they also puirchased 4 8TB Seagate SAS drives

I've been trying to get these drives to correctly display within the raid configuration utility, however have only been showing 913GB

All firmware has been updated accordingly.

Is it actually possible to run 3rd party 8TB drives with my current configuration?

Hi Robert,

I'm trying to create a new array using 2x these 8TB drives. I'm actually able to create an array using them however when attempting to initialise the virtual disk the option is greyed out, and the physical disks display an 'offline' state in the raid configuration utility
