Actually I've just managed to update my H310 card to latest A10 firmware using this guide which has a download link to all necessary files in one handy zip. :)

Edit:  darn looks like I'm not allowed to post links, so just do a google for "revert your Perc H310 back to it's Dell firmware" and you'll find the right WordPress blog.

Hello

Dell PERC H310 Adapter Firmware

There are multiple versions of the H310. You are trying to install the H310 Adapter Firmware. If you are getting messages that the update is not supported then you are installing the wrong version of the firmware. You likely have an H310 integrated. Each version of the H310 has different firmware.

Thanks

Ah ok.

Been searching the web but can only find adapter, mini mono and mini blade versions of the h310.

Anyway, mine looks exactly like this one:

Well, I did some more digging.

It turns out my card is flashed with Dell Precision firmware.

Downloaded the latest firmware for Dell Perc8 H310 Adapter Firmware for Precision Workstation and that worked.

Is this card physically different from a server H310 adapter, is there some way of flashing it with proper server firmware ?

Thanks for the info. But why can't I flash it with the server firmware?

There is only one version of the H310 adapter. Servers and workstations use the exact same card with the different firmware.

Thanks

I don't know what you are talking about. I was quite clear in my last response, they use different firmware.

Thanks

I have the same card and have encountered the same issues with the same results. There appears to be an issue with the Dell update software package. Why we cant just have a way to update it in bios is beyond me. :(

Annoying to say the least. I ended up flashing my card with lsi IT firmware.

Maybe it's possible to flash it back to the latest dell update after applying the lsi firmware?

I dont know, all I do know is that I can't flash my card past the A02 firmware and I would like to flash it to the latest A10 firmware.

Just had a read of that post you mentioned and I'm keen to update the H310 firmware in my T5600 to the latest A11 release.  I am assuming I just need to create a DOS bootable USB stick and then follow the process?

My system is Windows 10 in UEFI BIOS mode so I am not sure whether this makes a difference with the process?  UEFI is fairly new to me and I am obviously not wanting to brick my machine..

Can anyone else confirm the process with UEFI?
