Possible that nobody help me in this problem? :smileysad: :smileysad: :smileysad: The controller DELL 21320-IS is not compatible with Windows Vista? :smileyindifferent: I have tried to update the controller bios with the bios for LSI 21320-R card and using the LSI driver for Windows Vista. The installation of this operating system (Vista) is not possible. In the phase of Windows Vista setup the controller 21320-IS (transformed in 21320-R) it does not recognized. Help me!!! :smileytongue:
I have bought the controller LSI21320-IS as a used device (product of 2002) and I must use it in a assembled PC (no DELL PC) with one of the following mother board:
Supermicro P4SCT+ II with slot PCI 64-bit
Fujitsu Siemens D1218-A21 GS 1 (D1218) with slot PCI 32-bit
My controller LSI21320-IS works perfectly with Windows XP Professional (OS 32bit version), but not work with Windows Vista (OS 32bit version). The setup of Windows Vista does not recognize the card!
For the test I have download bios and Windows Vista driver from here (LSI Logic site):
OK, now I have put more information. Perhaps now it is more clearly which tests I have made. I hope that someone help me to resolve this problem with Windows Vista and my SCSI controller DELL 21320-IS :smileyhappy:
I do not believe that we have a driver for that card for Vista. I will look some more, but the only ones I see are for XP, 2000, and NT. You may want to post on the
Workstation/Optiplex board since this card is for workstations. They may have more information for you.
I'd suggest to go to lsi.com and look for the drivers there. You can try searching under the drivers for the Dell Precision Workstation 490 or so to see if they are there, but LSI's site may be easier to find drivers for an LSI card for.
