Converting RAID from SATA to SAS
I have a 4 disk RAID 5 that is using SATA disks with interposers. We just purchased 4 1TB SAS drives that I want to replace the SATA drives. I know that you cant have an array running SATA and SAS. But will they work together long enough to swap out the drives individually and rebuild? I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

Motoxxx99,
It won't allow you to rebuild a SAS drive into a SATA array, or vice versa. You can have both on the same controller, but not within the same array. You would need to backup the data and then create the array with the SAS drives and restore.
Let me know if this helps.
