I'd recommend you get an H710 as your controller.

You mean for a T110II or T320?

Thank you for your answer!

I think it will now be a T320.

Best regards

You said:  "I think it will now be a T320."

While your question was about using an H7x0 controller, the T320 has several options for RAID controllers, and rather than being tempted to save money with one of the other options, go for the H710 upfront, to make sure you have all the performance and features you might ever need.

Plong12,

The H700 isn't a supported controller for the T110 II. The supported Raid controllers are the SAS6/ir and the H200.  If you go to page 76 of the manual found here you can find the supported controllers - http://ftp.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_poweredge/poweredge-t110_Owner%27s%20Manual_en-us.pdf

Let me know if this helps answer your question.

The machine will run as a fileserver (no SQL) in our intranet with 10 clients. Data security is a top priority. Therefore i need a RAId Adaptor with nv cache. Which processor would you recommend? E5-1410 v2 or E5-24x0 v2. I'm not sure about pros and cons.
