What model SSD is this? Is it a Dell Enterprise branded SSD?
Along with that do you know what raid controller you have in your system? There are three different raid controllers that are commonly found in these servers. There is the H700 which is the newest and there are also the PERC 6/i and SAS 6 i/r which are older models.
Basically either the issue is going to be the raid controller, or the SSD might just not be compatible.
If you do have one of the older raid controllers my suggestion would be to upgrade your controller to an H700. You will need the controller(XXFVX) and new cables(2x M246M) as the H700 uses different ended cables than the other two models.
If you've already got an H700 my bet would be the SSD just isn't compatible but it would be worth upgrading your H700 firmware just to rule that out.
Hope this helps.
