Expand an array on CERC 1.5/6ch?

Hi there,

I need to expand an array that's using a CERC 1.5/6ch controller, I've just upgraded the disks. I know it's not possible to do this via the Raid BIOS, but booting to an OpenManage LiveCD it won't pick up the RAID controller either (running it through the browser).

Unfortunately, whilst we run all Dell servers elsewhere, this particular one is not a Dell server - it's a non-critical storage server made up of old parts, where I used a spare Dell CERC card to get going.

Any ideas?
