First server, PowerEdge 2300, Getting Failed to Spin Up errors when initializing

Hi guys, today I got my first ever poweredge, it's a 2300, got it second hand, and everything seemed to be fine and in working order.

I went into the SCSI BIOS using alt+m and tried to configure the array since the hard drives were not being detected on bootup. I am able to configure an array and even format the drives, but when I try to initialize, I get "failed to spin up" error every time. Is there any way around this, or is this some kind of hardware failure?

 

It is using an Adaptec PERC-2 controller and two 20 gig hard drives.
