How to install Perc Drivers with no OS
We have a poweredge 2500. Someone removed the RAID key to test it on another system and forgot to tell anyone. The system with the missing key was rebooted and the RAID array was wiped out. I re-installed the RAID key and re-booted to get back the RAID array, but on the boot, the PERC 3 array sequence did not post. It appears, not only is my data gone, but the RAID array is too.
Just to check, I took the RAID key out and tested on another machine and it works fine.
So-o-o-o. Have I lost my PERC firmware and RAID drivers? If so, how do I re-install the firmware/drivers with no OS? (Windows 2003)
Thanks

Some things to try. Install the RAID Key in the MB. When the server starts, go into F2 Setup. Under integrated devices change the embedded RAID controller to "RAID Enabled". Save settings and reboot the server. When the server starts up you will see a line of text that says something like "Dell Poweredge Expandable Raid Controller.3Di...Bios or Frmw version 2.1-3". Note the model name of the PERC controller and the firmware version. When loading Windows 2003 you will need to provide a driver version that matches the firmware version on the controller. For Windows 2003 it is recommended that you update the driver and firmware to version 2.8. Depending on which firmware version you are at, you want to step from 2.1-3 to 2.5 to 2.71 to 2.8. Below is a link to the W2003 drivers for the PERC3-Di

Hallelujah!
RAID is up and running, drivers are the latest and greatest, containers are OK.
Now all I have to do is a restore ;)
Thanks for the help.
