If you have any disks on a raid channel never place a tape unit on it. It may work, but >80% of the time it does not. If you enjoy playing Russian Roulette with data or need a career change, avoid the recommendation.

If the onboard LSI is set to RAID in the BIOS, that could be causing the problem.
