Need driver for PERC H310
Hello dell and community!
I never thought I would have to contact the community with the problem. However, now the day has come. Before describing the problem, I have to say that your hardware and software supplied is very good and I am happy to use your equipment.
I had a need to install windows server 2003 x86 on PowerEdge T420 (Service Tag: B4****2). I am well aware that this server is not designed for this operating system. Unfortunately, available only to a server, and the decision of tasks it involves the use of a dedicated windows server 2003 x86 (used for the automation of industry), ie without virtualization.
I found these instructions here:
en.community.dell.com/.../3846.how-to-install-windows-2003-on-dell-12th-generation-poweredge-servers
I performed it. However, after installing windows server 2003 x86 me when displaying the logo appears BSOD (0x0000007b, ATA SATA mode is selected in the BIOS). Connecting third-party LiveUSB showed that dumps, unfortunately, are not created, even if I choose any option by pressing F8 before the start of the system.
I suspect that I have stored on a flash drive the wrong driver for H310, but there are doubts about this.
USB flash drive with the driver for the H310 was created tool
<ADMIN NOTE: Broken link has been removed / replaced from this post by Dell>;l=en&s=gen&driverid=R140774
The driver downloaded from here:
www.avagotech.com/.../megaraid-sas-9240-8i
the name of the MegaRAID SAS Driver - XP x86 Signed, Version 4.32.0.32 (actually I have tried several different drivers, but to me it did not help).
But, because of that doubt, if I choose to boot from a LiveUSB and point the driver as on a flash drive by utility Dell USB Key F6 Driver Utility, the sections are connected and well I can manage. LiveUSB, by the way, is based on Server 2003.
Help me please. Apparently there is no relevant information, many of the files are not available, I read here these instructions:

What are the steps I take to performance windows server 2003?
Thank you in advance, your team is great!

First, I would strongly suggest you buy a used server on eBay or from your local classifieds.
Second, I would suggest you use nLiteOS.com to integrate the driver into your installation media instead of the flaky USB/F6 utility. (Integrate SP2 if not already included while you're at it - the drivers are likely going to need SP2.)
Are you sure your "automation of industry" cannot work on a virtual platform? Many will work.

Hi theflash1932!
You are a genius! I got using nLite to prepare the image. Thank you for a very useful solution!
Fortunately, I have no problems with the installation of drivers. Thanks for the help! Are you really the best team!
To a question about the SCADA. Unfortunately Support Team Emerson did not provide affordable solutions for the use of virtualization for Ovation for Windows. As far as I remember your company for a long time collaborating with Emerson. So if you have any information on the use of virtualization for the Ovation, I am very happy to get it going.

I don't work for Dell. I'm just a user like you.
I don't have any particular experience working with Ovation, but I have seen many automation/controls systems moved to virtual platforms. I would call into question any systems whose producers cannot support virtualization or a modern operating system as possibly not the best investment for an organization.
Glad you got it working though.
