Need new SATA drives for R210 II with H200 Raid Controller
I have six R210 II with H200 Raid controllers each with two 500 GB SATA drives with raid 1. I need to increase to 1 TB drives so I will need 12 drives in total.
Question:
1. Are there 6Gb/s Dell drives available for this configuration? I was told by Dell sales that only 3Gb/s drives are available. Nearline SAS is available but the cost was through the roof vs the 3Gb/s SATA.
2. If Dell does not have 6Gb/s SATA are there any non-Dell, OEM 6.0Gb/s drives that would work? I have tried one Seagate 1 TB 6Gb/s SATA drive. It works but OMSA reports the drives status in a "Non-critical" state which is unacceptable from a monitoring stand point.

Dell's website doens't have any 6GB/s drives. And, there's only one 3GB/s 1 TB drive listed. Where can I get a list of part numbers?

Get a Dell-branded drive from a supplier, not directly from Dell - they are much cheaper that way. Find a part number, then go shopping online. That way, you have a certified, guaranteed drive, without the extra cost of buying direct.

Call their Sales department; their website is no good for shopping accessories.
There is no "master" list of part numbers.
Take part number 0KNW4 (1TB, SAS, 6G), for example - it is over $400 from Dell and $200 from most suppliers.
