No valid devices found when installing fedora core 3

I am trying to install Fedora Core 3 on a system that currently runs RedHat 9. However, whenever I try to proceed past the partitioning screen (where it gives the option for disk druid or automatic) it says:

"An error has occurred - no valid devices were found on which to create new filesystems. Please check your hardware for the cause of this problem."

Here's the kicker...In a previous screen it says it found the MegaRAID controller, so I assume it found the driver for it. Any help would be appreciated. Also, RedHat 9 is still working without incident.

Thanks.

Have anyone able to solve this problem?
I recently tried load Fedora Core 3 on a PowerEdge 850.
It complained cannot find HD Driver, I tried using F2 (to load from disk, hoping that I can put Dell's "Service & Diagnostic Utilities" disk in there as it has "Dell-optimized drivers"). But, the CD drive won't open at that point.

There is a Dell Information Update that said entering the following kernel command line at system boot: "linux ide2=0x1f0" would allows the OS to access the internal CD-ROM drive. I tried that and did work.

Any help will be greated appreciated.

I had to use Fedora Core 2 to make it work. Have you tried Core 4?

No. I am actually still running Core 2 for a Samba Server and it works great.

I finally managed to get Fedora loading on PowerEdge 850 but I have to go to Fedora 4. It is because the ata_piix driver is NOT included in Fedora 3. So, for whoever wanted to load Fedora on PowerEdge 850, use Core 4. I actually tried Core 2 but it didn't work either.

I'll be interested in seeing if anyone knows how to get that "ata_piix" driver back on Fedora Core 3, and build a new installation disk.

Core 4 worked great? That is super news. I will now have to come in on a weekend and upgrade ours.

Thanks
