PE R610, H770 and PERC 6, RAID-10 and RAID-1
I am going to set up an R160 to host two virtual machines. Each machine needs their own RAID controller. I have selected sex x 160GB SATA drives. Using the integrated H700 controller, I am going to configure the first four HDDs RAID-10. If I select the optional second controller, a PERC 6/E SAS external RAID adaptor, can I use this to configure the two remaining drives RAID-1?
I wanted to be sure the second controller would see the two remaining drives as available.

The PERC H700 will be connected to the 6 drives on the server and it will see/control all of them. The PERC 6/E can only be connected to drives on an external enclosure (i.e.: MD1000 or MD1120).
Are you sure you need 2 RAID "controllers"? The virtual machines do not care about that.
