Manicaps1,

If you already have an IP assigned to the iDrac, then you should be able to access the iDrac Web Interface by entering that IP address in a browser. You should then see a login page for the iDrac. OpenManage Server Administrator would be used locally, but if remote and the idrac is powered then you should be able to use the web browser and IP to access it.

Let me know what you see

Hi,

Thanks for your response. But the message was IE cannot display the webpage. As I checked in BIOS, iDRAC IP assigned as 192.168.0.120. Pelase advise

There are several possible reasons you may not be able to pull up the iDRAC, but these are probably the most likely ones:

- iDRAC isn't plugged in

- You don't have that default subnet in use in your environment, so you cannot get to a device using an IP address in that subnet

I'd suggest to walk over to the server, power it up, use F2 to enter the bios and set the iDRAC IP to something that works in your LAN, then verify that the iDRAC network is set to use a dedicated port (assuming that's what you want), and try pinging the newly set iDRAC IP. If it pings, try pulling up the web interface (default credentials are root and calvin).
