Perc H710 0VM02C Raid Card Failed
We had water damage at our facility and Perc H170 card failed. I had 4 Samsung SSD 1TB Hard drives in Raid 5 configuration. All hard drives are in healthy condition - SMART and surface tests are all positive.
I read on this forum that perc card would save a copy of configuration on the hard drives so I bought a new Perc H170 card. I was hoping by installing another Perc H170 - I can get the configuration back up. Instead, I am getting "All the disks from your previous configuration are gone" on the screen. I had Vmware ESXI on this server which makes data recovery even more complicated. Any ideas, any help is "GREATLY" appreciated. Literally anything. I cannot find almost any information with a failed card. I found other topics where one or two drives fail and people are miserable but my situation is a bit different.
Please help.

Hello,
I'm sorry for your situation.
What you can try to recover data is to recreate on the new PERC bios (CTRL-R) the same RAID 5 configuration but WITHOUT initialize virtual disk.
You can see how to create VD in this documentation (pag 41)

Thanks

Hi Marco, thanks for the response. I lost the order of these hard drives as well. Does it matter in which slot they were in before the crash?
