Perc H710 (PowerEdge R820) firmware upgrade
Hi everyone,
I've a brand new PowerEdge R820 server and I'm not able to update the PERC H710 firmware (21.1.0-0007, A03) to the latest version 21.2.0-0007, A04.
I've tried with a bootable DOS USB key with the files inside but the update software just says "no controller detected".
The server is online since 2 weeks now so there is no RAID rebuild ongoing and I've tried also with PERC H810 firmware, no luck.
Any advice? Thanks

if the system has access to the internet, reboot the system, press F10 when prompted to enter the LifeCycle controller, then once its in there, select Firmware update, leave FTP server selected and proceed from there, its fairly intuitive. One of the choices will be to update the H710 controller.

The catalog has been updated and works fine now.

Thanks Rey. Unfortunately I get an error during the Lifecycle firmware update:

This error repeats also for the PERC H710 firmware. I've tried also switching the FTP server to ftp.us.dell.com but still isn't working.

I see the same issue here when I try to do the updates on a different model system. Let me check on that.

yep, any 11G or 12G system any update will have this issue, we are actively analyzing the issue.

We have found the issue, but a fix wont be ready until tomorrow morning at the earliest.

I am using the H710P RAID controller on the Dell Precision Workstation T7600, and like everyone else here I cannot get the 21.2.0-0007-A04 BIOS to update after booting from DOS. Like others, I get the message "No controllers found".
Can someone post a URL to the exact page where I can download the most recent version the H710P firmware BIOS upgrade that actually works?
