PercS100 controller not reading Virtual drive with CentOS7 in PowerEdge R220II server
Hi,
Please help me with this:
Perc S100 controller not reading Virtual drive with CentOS7 in PowerEdge R220II server
-- I have created the virtual drive with two Sata drives
-- During OS installation system is showing only physical drives. It's not showing the virtual drive that I have created.
With CentOS it's supporting RAID configuration..

Pulkit.Garg,
The issue is that the S100 doesn't support Linux based OS's. As seen on page 15,16 of the manual here, it is a Windows driver based software controller. You could upgrade to something like the H200 (part 0RR9J).
Hope this helps.

Disable the S100. I suggest you never use the S-series controller, even for Windows, as it is garbage.

Hello Chris,
For the Linux based OS, what we need to add additional here?
Can u suggest some additional SATA RAID card through which this can be supported?
