Interposers are not needed. If you go with SATA, don't use drives intended for laptops, desktops, or NAS.

Yes, just mount using the SAS holes.

So we can just use enterprise grade 2.5" drives.  What I was confused about is that the disk caddy has two mount hole positions.  One position is labeled SAS and one is labeled SATA.  The SATA position is further back which makes it look like an interposer is needed.  Do I just mount the SATA drive in the SAS mounting screw position?
