The message is normal if you had a failed drive that is now trying to rebuild to the Virtual Disk. If successful then the status will return to Optimal. If it doesn't complete the rebuild and changes to a Failed status, you will need to replace the drive. Which when you remove the failed drive, it is simply adding the replacement drive to the server and allowing it to rebuild.
