I just wanted to share a few things with you, then you can feel free to ask any other follow-up questions that come to mind:

The web server portion of OMSA must be installed for it to work at all, so just do a Custom install to make sure that Storage Management is installed (don't DE-select anything).

Don't install from CD ... you cannot upgrade from that version to the latest.  Install the old one or install the new one, forget the upgrade.

Version 5.4:
http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/04/DriverDetails?DriverId=R183698&FileId=2731119587&DriverName=Dell%20OpenManage%20Server%20Administrator%20Managed%20Node%2C%20v.5.4.0%2C%20A01

Download and run to extract the files, then run C:\Openmanage\windows\setup.exe, Custom.

The latest version is 150MB, so 2GB free should be plenty to install OMSA.  OMSA MUST be installed on the C: partition.

You can start the rebuild from the RAID BIOS, then boot to the OS while the rebuild completes - there is no need to keep the server "out of commission" until it completes.

On a 2600, it is not necessary (nor is it recommended) to power down to replace/rebuild the drive.  Simply swapping the drive "hot" will probably kick off the rebuild.  If the rebuild doesn't begin within a minute or two, then you would need to start it manually.
