Poweredge R310 trying to install linux Ubuntu/CentOS no luck
Hi All,
I've got a R310 that I'm trying to install some Linux OS on it and the only issue so far I run into is no hard drives are found. I'm a noob, so any tips or suggestions I'll try out.
I've tried the following operating systems + versions :
Ubuntu - 22.04.2, 20.04.6, 10.10, 10.04
CentOS - 7 & 6.10 (RHEL 6 is supposed to be supported so thought this would be the closest).
All of the these get to the hard disk section and failed to find drives. I have 4 500GB drives in. I've tried the following :
1. Create 1 Virtual Disk with RAID0
2. Set all 4 up for nonRaid.
3. In Bios disabled SAS
No Events found!

Hello thanks for choosing Dell.
3. In Bios disabled SAS
-> Does this mean you are not going to boot from SAS? or Do you actually want to boot from SAS
And what controller are you using?
