Likely the issue is the H700, while it is supported, the version you're using may not be, as not all are cross compatible between the R410 and R710 Now with the drives, they feature a Status LED on the drive carrier (through light pipes) with one LED per drive carrier. The Status LED is only functional in the presence of Hardware Raid, now in the event that Hardware RAID (ROMB) is disabled, the Status LED will remain in the off state. Which wouldn't be the case if you can see raid configuration data.
Thanks. I can see the RAID configuration through the lifecycle controller, and I've successfully configured it, set up a volume and installed Windows Server - so functionally it's all working. The activity LEDs on the drives all flash when they are being accessed, but the status LEDs don't work at all.
