R200 Server with Raid 1-How to replace a single failed drive
I have recently had a failure of one of my two 250 gig drives in a Raid 1 configuration. Like to know how to reload the failed drive after replacing it with an identical one through the use of the bios.
Any documents or instruction sets would be appreciated.

Which controller do you have? Which server model?

The numbers on the LSI controller are 0JW063. The server model is R200

Hot-swap or cabled?
What OS?
In the BIOS, you should be able to rebuild/resync by entering the CTRL-C utility for the SAS 6/iR RAID controller.

Drives are cabled.
Using the R200 as a pfsense router hence OS is FreeBSDamd64

Yeah, you'll need to boot to CTRL-C to do it then.

Thanks for your help. Will proceed to ctrl-c when the LSI bios comes up during boot of the R200.
Two other questions.
Clearly the new replacement drive needs to be partitioned prior to the ctrl-c. Assume this would be an msdos type partition but I probably should check the Raid 1 good drive with gparted to establish the type of partition and the format in order to replicate these on the replacement before cntr-c is used.
Like to know if you have used the diag.iso or the sm_7.0.0-36_A00.iso to check the full R200. These files are provided on the Dell web site.

Used them, yes. What exactly is are you wanting to do?
Nope. Gparted should play no role in this. The controller will take care of syncing the data.
